Dangerous access to the bridge from the east side
Reported in the Bridge-Damaged/ Missing category anonymously at 16:22, Thu 26 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 3 minutes later. ref: 1782112.
The bridle way to this bridge is too narrow allowing only about 4ft for a horse to negotiate the bridge. It is about an 8ft drop off the access into the brook. the access is also on a turn and animals using the brook have eroded the side of the path. There is another ditch on the other side of the path leaving only about 4 ft for a horse to get through. This is highly dangerous and does not meet the required standards for safe passage. Your urgent attention is required.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Improvement works to be carried out to the bridleway section after the bridge and vegetation to be cut back to allow surface conditions to improve.
