Weird yellow line appeared on road
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 22:25, Wed 2 October 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1790470.
This appeared on Monday but it doesn't look like the council have done it as it is uneven and badly done. Did the council or is this an illegal painting?

Thank you for your enquiry. I went to site today and couldnt find the marking. Is there a specific property this is outside of? I looked from Goose Green to Banbury Road.

It is roughly outside number 28/30 Bridge Street, it may have been covered by parked vehicles. It is where there is a break in the fencing/railings on the St James' side of Bridge Street

Is there any update as the line is still there and parking is becoming an issue as people are now avoiding parking there.

The yellow lines referred to by the above resident are still present and are in three locations along the eastern flank of Bridge Street where the access path meets the kerb line (opposite The Locomotive pub). These are not official markings and have been painted on by the belligerent resident of 30 Bridge Street. The same resident also causes damage to cars that park across the yellow markings, the most recent incident was this Sunday night 5th January 2020 when he keyed the a vehicle parked near the yellow markings (reported to Northants Police who will likely do nothing). The resident of 30 Bridge Street has previously caused damaged to vehicles on at least 3 previous occasions dating back to 2017 for parking across or near the unofficial yellow lines he installed. The situation could do with being addressed, the resident of number 30 needs dealing with and the yellow lines removed as they have not been installed by the Council or other authorised authority, and in fact could be viewed as criminal damage to Council property. May I hear from the council please in response.
