Long, deep, pothole outside red gates to 58 Main Rd Duston

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:29, Monday 7 October 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 3 minutes later. ref: 1795306.

We notified you of this pothole back in late January 2019 when you filled in the large one next to it at that time. It must have been evident surely back in late January, that this pothole would continue to deteriorate as the seasons change and time passes by. We currently have the "Trust" works going on outside our property and with the temporary traffic lights in force the road is restricted to a single track, making all traffic, from both directions drive over this pothole. As it continues to grow in size and depth, debris from it now spills onto the pavement. The continual noise from this pothole is still an issue to us. With all the heavy traffic so close to the front of our property we now have windows/shutters and room radiators rattling and shaking as all passes through the same pothole. We feel it is now necessary to seek professional Structural Engineers advise with regard to this shaking and we consider yourselves fully responsible for any defect our property may be suffering. Your continual standard reply of "no works deemed necessary" has now become unacceptable. We have been more than patient in seeking your cooperation here. We ask, yet again, that this repetitive report can be reviewed as a matter of some urgency now, although appreciate you cannot fill this hole until the temporary traffic lights have moved on, we need to know what timescales you are working to, to rectify this still ongoing problem. Please can someone from your department get in touch with us to see what can be done to rectify this situation to the satisfaction of all parties.
