Three Drains are Blocked on North street

Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 09:48, Tue 8 October 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. ref: 1796653.

Three drains are blocked at the bottom end of North Street (as you come from the roundabout off the A4256 and turn right into North Street, they are on the right hand side). Flood water occurs when we get heavy rainfall, and the flood water runs down into the subway (which is like a bog now) and you can not use the footpath when it is bad.

  • Due to daily commuters parking here and walking into town, the drain has been missed AGAIN. This is the problem- notices or cones need to be put there to allow this drain to be cleaned. I usually park in my garage as we have had arson attacks on cars this year on this road but if it helps I can leave my car on it and move it when needed? Please advise- this is extremely frustrating as the blockage causes other problems further down in the subway which floods after heavy rain.
