Blocked drain overflowing in heavy rain and flooding my house.
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 17:16, Fri 11 October 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1801490.
The rainwater drains outside 7 and 9 Sutton Street overflow during heavy rain, as happened at 16.00 today. When this happens water comes into my house through the front wall, which is below pavement level. The pavement is built up against the house and I believe water is flowing under the tarmac from a drain that is uphill from where the water comes in. Water ingress stops as soon as the water level in the drain drops.

20.20 hrs 18th Oct. Brief burst of heavy rain. The drain overflowed again and water came into the house. As before, ingress stopped when the level in the drain dropped. If this happens at night or when we are not there to vacuum up the water as it comes in, it will cause major damage.
