Access to properties in Brickhill Road
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 14:45, Sunday 13 October 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 6 minutes later. ref: 1803076.
I understand from signs which have appeared in Brickhill Road that the road will be closed for 5 days from 28 October. Could you please tell me how residents are supposed to access their properties during the period of closure. I am sure I am not alone in needing to gain access and egress to my house several times a day, whether to look after grandchildren or visit a 92 year old relative. I also have a plumber booked to visit, should I cancel this? The carriageway itself, while not in the best condition is certainly better than other carriageways in the area particularly Queensway. Surely the funding should be prioritised to other carriageways in worse condition.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your enquiry. The works will be phased throughout the duration to minimise disruption as much as possible. Any properties within the closure will be granted access when it is safe to do so and there will be marshal’s onsite to assist if necessary. If you please could contact the Site Manager Gavin Hopkin on firstname.lastname@example.org with your address and the date which your plumber is booked or alternatively call 01604 883400, we will be able to ensure access is provided. Unfortunately, I am unable to comment to the reasoning why this road has been selected for resurfacing, but I will make enquiries.
