Very large pothole in the carriageway.
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:27, Thu 17 October 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1808674.
There is a very large pothole in the carriageway. 6 inches deep at least and approx larger than 1 foot across. It is where cares are parked so all traffic is forced towards it as they either continue on Johns Road or turn into Oaklands. It is deep enough to do significant damage to car tyres and wheels, and probably to some vans too. There have been attempts to fix it in the past but the repairs have never lasted - the new tarmac has been easily dislodged. The hole has been there this time for at least 3 months, but the problem is far older as it recurs. It is also in a position where people cross the road and it would be very difficult to spot at night or when the hole is full of water and looks like a normal puddle. Thank you for your help.
