Potholes on the main carriageway of the busy A428
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Geoffrey Gill at 23:51, Sat 19 October 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1811813.
Following a report on the morning of Friday 18th October a team was dispatched the same afternoon to fill in the latest pothole which had occurred in this location (immediately adjacent to a previously repaired pothole). Full marks for the speed of the response, but what has been achieved is only a "quick fix". Because this area is subject to regular flooding the edge of the repair will inevitably degrade, resulting in a further pothole immediately adjacent to the one which has just been filled in - and so on...... What is required is some proper "area patching" to effect a more permanent to solution.
