6ft of scaffolding erected across roadway. Vehicles cannot pass through. No warning signs or road closures in place.

Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 11:33, Tue 29 October 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 3 minutes later. ref: 1823661.

Planned building work is taking place at 4 The Green, Hulcote, NN12 7HT. Scaffolding was erected a few weeks ago that protrudes 6ft into the ONLY access road to that area of the village. This is a single track lane, with no passing or turning points. Vehicles are unable to pass this area safely, being forced to drive across the green. Now the bad weather has set in, this is causing a huge issue for the green, for the vehicles and for the neighbours. Vehicles are being blocked in, damaged, and stuck in mud. The green has taken a huge amount of damage that will take huge amounts of work, time and money to repair. Neighbours are now feuding about rights of way, access and parking. No signage is present at the entrance to the road, or where the scaffolding is present - simply a tiny flashing light. The owner of the property is taking no ownership of this problem, although most of the issues are caused by the contractor vehicles driving across the green, wheel spinning up banks and parking in inappropriate places.
