There is a footpath next to us at 8 Mansfield Street Stanwick- 2 trees have blown down this weekend- the vegetation has been allowed to become overgrown with ivy making trees top heavy- there are also dead trees which are becoming overgrown- a lot of local residents use this footpath and with the wet windy weather it’s becoming dangerous

I live at 10 Mansfield Street. Today in the wind, another tree in the public footpath adjacent to my garden has uprooted and blown over, and is leaning on my fence. The path is used daily, and the tree needs removing as soon as, so it is not a danger to the public, and before it does damage to my fence. There are about 8 trees in the footpath, all dead bar about 2 : these need removing also.

Following the above report and as a result of the high winds today another tree has fallen down across the alley. I have previously suggested that all the dead trees are cut back to fence height- there are about 5-6 that need this. They are getting overgrown with ivy and have had beetle infestation so the majority are dead above a certain height. This does impact on our fencing. Thank you

Further to my last message I can confirm that the bit of tree that was hanging over the pathway has been removed but I am astounded that the root ball of that particular tree has been taken away the trunks of the have been left and therefore free to fall any which way- please see the above photos. There was also a branch that had come down in the bad winds but for some reason the whole tree has been removed- what a dreadful thing. I have attached a photo of this too. I don’t understand why a perfectly good tree is completely removed yet the tree that had fallen down has only been partly removed. There are approximately 8-9 trees that are at risk of falling- especially in this bad weather and as a result of not being maintained properly. Our fences are taking the brunt of this.
