Uneven pavement refer to reference number 1717828

Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 11:31, Tue 5 November 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1832625.

The state of the pavement running from the doctors surgery up to the High Street was reported as dangerous back in August. On week commencing 28th October signs were put up to notify of road closure and a workforce arrived to fix the pavement - however they only completed the repair from opposite Castle Court down to the surgery's. The pavement leading into town which was the worst area and had been marked for repair as shown on pictures has been left undone! How can this have happened? This pavement is dangerous for anyone walking let alone those who are less mobile or wheelchair users. Having gone to the expense of having all the equipment and manpower here to do the job why has this not been completed?

  • It is now 26th November and still no repair to the remaining section of this pavement. Why was this job not completed when the rest of the pavement was resurfaced? I have this morning witnessed a gentleman almost thrown from his wheelchair, only saved due to the quick response of his carer - this needs to be completed urgently.
