Thank you for your enquiry to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to drivers abusing the “No entry” restriction at Station Road, Kettering adjacent to the Queensbury Road junction. An officer has been out to site and noted that the requisite “No entry” signs and roadmarking are all clear and in place at this junction. It was however noted that an illuminated sign opposite the Queensbury Road junction, that indicates all traffic should turn left (i.e. towards the Station), has been damaged and the sign face rotated so is no longer visible to traffic from the Queensbury Road direction. Drivers may therefore be inadvertently turning right from Queensbury Road into Station Road against the “No entry” restriction. This has been reported to our contractor who looks after illuminated signs for their attention.
