Loose chippings all over road months after resurfacing
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 17:28, Wed 6 November 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1834864.
On the A6116 from the roundabout next to Islip going uphill, the road was resurfaced months ago. There is still a large number of loose chippings on the road. When it rains heavily, as it’s downhill they get washed across the road again... presumably getting back on the road again from the verges. There is an overtaking lane on this part of the road, and as lesser used the stones seem to scatter here and get kicked up by over taking vehicles. Ideally these chippings need to be cleared as causing chips to peoples windscreens!
