Broken and flattened kerbs outside 37 London Road and lane next to house.
Reported in the Damaged/Loose category anonymously at 09:44, Thu 7 November 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 6 minutes later. ref: 1835563.
For some years now, the "dropped kerb" outside 37 London Road, Raunds and the lane next to it, has had the kerbstones broken and flattened, in places below road & path level, so that every time it rains above anything light, the downhill gradient of London Road and our drive, causes the water to flow down our drive, and this morning, water finished up only about 30 inches from our house foundations.
We should have made contact at least 2 years ago, but illnesses and other problems kept putting it off, but seeing the water lying so close to our front wall this morning has galvanised us into action at last.
The original height "dropped kerb" was not a problem, as it was high enough to divert the rainwater down London Road in the gutters as it should do, but now, due to the kerb damage and current road and path height, we get more than our fair share of surplus rainwater meant for drains further down London Road and not our property.
We would appreciate if you could give the matter reasonably urgent attention please.
Best regards, K.A. Brealey. 37, London Road Raunds.
