Between A6 roundabout and Meadowsweet
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 21:16, Sun 10 November 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1840232.
Incident 1674579 & 1824510 are still incomplete. Foliage adjacent to junctions has been cut back but the full stretch of the road between the A6 roundabout and Meadowsweet needs to be dealt with. To state the foliage doesn’t affect the carriageway is inaccurate. Cyclists are struck by over hanging branches and brambles whilst trying to keep to the left out of harms way from overtaking traffic. Images provided illustrate this and will also show that the same brambles have been struck by vehicles. Road signage for the bend in the road is also partially obscured. This has been an ongoing problem throughout the summer. To close off previous reports with no further action isn’t appropriate. Should we continue as we are without dealing with the foliage I reserve the right to share this complaint with my local MP, Press and if required a solicitor in the event of an injury. Please therefore can reconsider your stance.
