There is a series of potholes on the NS carriage way (heading towards Banbury) adjacent to where the vergeside collapsed and had to be repaired earlier in the year. The holes are in a line, getting bigger, have sheer edges and are directly in line with a vehicles n/s wheel. To avoid the holes a vehicle either has to drive partially on the opposite carriageway, with a risk of collision, or close to the edge of the carriageway, with the risk of crashing off it into a field. There is no street lighting on this section of road making it near impossible to see until the very last moment, and is deep and rough to damage car wheels / suspension and / or cause pedal cycles or motorbikes to crash. The holes are steadily getting wore in recent days, and as soon as any snow or ice come, the freeze / thaw / freeze will cause further cracking and breakdown of the surface and make it even more dangerous
