Tree roots damaging footpath and garden wall to property

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:07, Wed 13 November 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 4 minutes later. ref: 1844309.

The tree has grown to big and the roots have damaged the pathway making it unsafe. The roots also come into our garden as it’s so close and our garden wall now has cracks. I would like this tree cut down and removed. I have spoken to my local councillor and he recommended I contact NCC again as I reported this previously and nothing was done.

  • I have attached photos to show the raised footpath and cracking brickwork on the wall. We are planning on installing a driveway in the new year to get our cars off the road. This tree is where we would need to have the kerb dropped and entrance to our garden. We are in a local authority house and during our inspection the councillor said removing the tree would not be an issue. Other trees in the area have been removed.
