Blocked rainwater drain
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 09:45, Thu 14 November 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1845681.
The blocked rainwater drain was reported in May 2019 and we were advised that this would be unblocked @ the next routine clean. This has NOT been done and the drain remains blocked. With the substantial rainfall we have had recently water is flowing down Ashfield Avenue and into Mackenzie Road. The drains are not working and there is now a risk to floodwaters entering driveways which slope downwards from the road. BLOCKED DRAIN IS OUTSIDE 54 MACKENZIE ROAD. I have not checked the other drains in the road.

You sent a email a week ago to check to see if this had been done. The answer is NO. It is still blocked as of 19/12/2019. On 19/12/2019 the road sweeper appeared @ 07.18 am to unblock the drain. HOW STUPID? the road is double parked with vehicles overnight and of course there was a vehicle over the drain. Maybe get the drain people to come @ a civilized hour when most of the vehicles have moved to go to work?
