Blenheim Road NN4 8NW. Every time when heavy rain falls and in sleet or snow. The grassed areas on the road flood and create muddy slippery hazardous conditions. I have fallen today again as I have a mobility disability. The drains get blocked with mud and flooding happens along the street and road every time it rains. Please fill in the holes with a durable material and help us residents. I have reported this every year for 4 years and nothing has ever been done. I am beginning to feel anxious each time it rains or is wet about leaving the house as it looks and is awful, mud gets trapped in the house. I feel council tax payments should cover street maintenance and if you constantly called out to unblock drains find a long term solution to this dire problem please.

This is still an ongoing issue, it is slippery and looks horrendous, people don't have a choice but to park on here as there isn't enough parking. Can you please just concrete the verges or make parking bays, it will be safer and provide parking. Thank you, so sick of this mess

Thank you for your enquiry. Our standard of maintenance, good practice and providing value for taxpayer’s money, means that any safety defects identified on Northamptonshire’s public highways, are categorised according to their severity and have differing response times. Not all highway defects will be classed as safety defects since some will not be of sufficient severity to warrant action immediately. This does not mean that there are no other defects present on the road or footway and this may give the impression that we are ignoring problems and only carrying out works if we are pressurised to do so. Basically we have to prioritise our limited maintenance funding, with available resources and cannot fix all defects reported to us immediately. Please be assured that public roads, footways and roadside gullies will continue to be monitored through our routine safety inspection programme or from members of the public who can report any defects to our ‘Street Doctor’ service Street Doctor which will allow us to log and keep a record of any reported defects on our highway network.
