School traffic is heavily delayed

Getting out of Hayfield Cross school in the mornings can take upwards of 20 minutes from turning out of the school access road to getting through the lights at Barton Road. The light timings should be altered at this time of day to allow more cars to get out of cranford road because at the moment there is only maybe 10 seconds on green. This issue goes on from about 8.45am to 9.30am and should be looked at

  • Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways. An engineer has attended site and identified an issue with the detection on Cranford Road. Arrangements have been made to get these replaced as soon as possible. A temporary fix has been put in place in the short term to improve the operation of the signals.
