Attacked by cows on a byway, farmer /owner saying not his problem but mine for using the jurassic way
Reported in the Livestock category anonymously at 13:08, Mon 18 November 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1851435.
I was attacked last night on a public right of way, by up to 15 cows, who despite me trying to chase them away proceeded to put there heads down and charge, then gallop off then regroup line up and charge as a gang. I thought I was going to get killed, these are big belgium blue crosses, I was running round and round a tree scared witless for my life, (used to work with livestock /including bulls) never been scared before ! The farmer / owner when contacted for help stated it was my problem NOT his for walking on a right of way with cows on, but admitted several people had had problems before with the livestock. , yes I did ring the police (logged call) and am awaiting the rural police to come and see me, Someone should not have to die before something is done. I thought I was going to get killed they kept charging for up to half an hour, and my friend when he came to help feared for his safety.
