Disabled bays and white zig zag lines are faded and worn

School parents complaining that inconsiderate drivers are parking in Disabled bays and on white Zig Zag lines close to the zebra crossing outside Our lady's School, occupation road . All disabled bays and white zig zag lines are faded and worn.

Thank you for your enquiry. Our Highway Inspector has visited the location. We shall include the refurbishment of the fading lining as part of our planned routine road marking programme.

This has still not resolved. I need to use the disabled bay when taking my daughter to school in the morning. Non disabled badge holders constantly block the bay

Unfortunately these disabled parking bays are not enforceable as the markings do not conform to current legislation. Therefore at present it is not possible to prevent non-disabled drivers from parking here. We are aware of the issues but it is not simply a matter of changing the markings we have to carry out the necessary consultation in order to meet the legal requirements and it will take some time to do this. I am sorry we cannot offer a more immediate solution.
