Road junction Green Lane, Meadow lane and de Vere rd

Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 20:37, Mon 25 November 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 4 minutes later. ref: 1861964.

The road markings are non existent and cars do not stop when leaving Green and Meadow Lane Also cars are parking right over the junction causing poor visibility and oncoming cars being forced onto wrong side of road Cars are also parking all the way down Chancery Lane on the playing fields side which again forces cars on wrong side of road approaching the bend onto De Vere rd and I have witnessed several near misses

  • The situation is deteriorating at this junction. I have had 2 near misses in the last 2 weeks when other drivers have ignored the invisible road markings. I have only managed to avoid collision because I am familiar with the junction and can remember where the road markings are supposed to be. I will hold the council responsible if I am hit by another driver who has caused an accident due to their not being able to see the road markings.

  • I can see from your response that this problem has been changed to Action Scheduled, and am really thankful for that. Just wondered if there was a timeframe for the works to be done?
