Several large potholes recently repaired in direction of Dodford are already tearing up.

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:56, Sat 30 November 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1868959.

Several very large potholes repaired within the last month area already starting to tear-up . Urgently require repairing more robustly.

For information. It would be a good idea to survey the whole section of A45 between Daventry & Weedon. As there are many potholes either appearing, pothole repairs tearing up, or sections of road showing signs of potholes about to appear. Given the number of potholes along this stretch of road, when there is heavy rain & it is dark they are very difficult to see.

  • The potholes in this location require immediate attention given their size and location. There is a serious risk of either damage to vehicles or an accident occurring due to vehicles swerving to avoid them or them being hit in darkness.

As there has been 2 fatalities in the past 2 months on the Weedon to Daventry streach of the A45 someone needs to leave the office and give these large holes attention before the fatality total increases.
