4 8-12 inch potholes

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:56, Tue 3 December 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 6 minutes later. ref: 1872839.

On the left hand carriageway, between 2 traffic islands , there is a 12 inch wide and 3 inch deep pothole.

On the left hand carriageway, between these 2 traffic islands (in the middle of both carriageways), going towards Daventry, there are 3 10-12 inch potholes, that are 2-3 inches deep.

It's becoming difficult to miss these potholes, especially at night, as the area isn't lit by streetlights.

These 4 potholes are in a dangerous state and need fixing now.

  • I have just hit a very large pothole on the left carriage way heading towards Daventry after coming off the roundabout at Weedon. These have been reported and not fixed. You cannot see the potholes as the road is not lit. My right wheel hit the hole and I will have to assess damage tomorrow.

  • I hit one pothole exiting the roundabout at the A45 bypass driving towards Ordinance Rd on Friday night (6th December) I hit a 2nd pothole the same night on my return from Daventry, buckling my front right wheel and wrecking my tyre!! I expect reimbursement for this negligence and am waiting for your response. I took the picture of the pothole this evening as I returned from Daventry. It has yellow paint around it but has not yet been repaired. This is very dangerous. I had to wait 3 hours on Friday night to be recovered by the RAC as my tyre and wheel were ruined.
