Large grass verge damage by B and Q lorry
Reported in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 12:56, Tue 3 December 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1872843.
Neighbour had a B and Q delivery on 28th November at 1.30pm and the lorry mounted the grass verge and drove along it, parked and drove off. You can see from the pictures the damage it has done to a well looked after verge. it is unsightly and to big a job for me to repair myself as I am a 71 year old female. It needs fixing as it will get worse over the winter months.

Thank you for your enquiry and that B&Q will be investigating their delivery process. We do understand that some verges may look aesthetically messy and unsightly, especially after the recent heavy rain or during wintery weather. Therefore if there is significantly damage to a roadside grass verge, this can also be reported on the Northamptonshire County Council’s online ‘Street Doctor’ system Street Doctor for consideration under our annual maintenance programme for re-seeding (or re-turf if particularly muddy/roiled) and within the constraints of the Northamptonshire Highways financial budget.
