Uneven reinstatement after road works
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 14:34, Tue 3 December 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 1 minute later. ref: 1873073.
Work was performed to widen the T Junction, this caused major disruption at the time (6/9 months ago). Work is 'completed' but the area is now a (dangerous) eyesore. Tarmac was laid unevenly which is causing cars' suspensions to be ruined, is causing flooding issues on the road due to uneven dips. Grass seed was laid which is now growing into unsightly weeds. Public are paying their taxes and deserve the roads to better kept.

Thank you for contacting the County Council regarding the junction of St Boltophs Road and Barton Road. The Developer and Contractor experienced issues on site and were given a 2 month extension to complete their works by the April 2019. Sadly they were not able to do this and after consulting with the Borough Council and County Council Northamptonshire Highways instructed the developer and contractor to reopen the road so that other works in the area could progress as consulted and planned. Northamptonshire highways are aware of the Road condition at this junction and are monitoring this with the developer to see if additional works are required ahead of completing the junction in the new year.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
