Roadworks - inadequate planning

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 23:39, Tue 3 December 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 1 minute later. ref: 1873767.

Roadworks junction of Oakley Road, Sower Leys Road and Oldland Road.

I called to all if I would still be able to access Bankside whilst the roadworks are on 8pm - 6pm I was assured that the closures would be as the attached map which shows that the closure stops just before Bankside. I went out this evening to find there are barriers, (marked on the attached map by me in blue) in three different places. When I came home at 11pm I was let through the first set and could not get anyone's attention to open the second set of barriers. I had to get out of my car and walk into the road to try and get someone's attention to help move the barriers and then the next set of barriers up the hill to Bankside. I am on crutches. I do not think any thought has been given to the residents on Bankside. There is only one road to enter the street. Also heavy plant has been left parked on the hill. I would like to see the risk assessment and method statement for this work and what consideration has been given to residents who have to access the site to get to their homes.
