Edge of road broken away leaving large water filled hole

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1883311.

Stoke Doyle Road just past Wood Lane coming away from Oundle - edge of road damaged and road narrow so difficult to avoid hole created, which fills with water.

  • Hole still there, very dangerous. Water filled and unable to see in dark. I hit it this morning, buckled rear wheel and split tyre.

  • I own Beans coffee shop in oundle and have spoken with three customers this week who have had punctures due to this hole. If it isn’t fixed soon there will be something worse than just a puncture and buckled wheel. Phil Gilbert

  • 6th january 8.15 am van driver c.o colson and loaring ltd travelling towards oundle ,when another car is approaching from oundle had no choice but drop into 8 inch deep hole with upright sheer end both front and rear tyres split both rims buckled .disgraceful nothing been done since first reported, travelling back at night I would like to thank the kind soul who has placed large cone in the hole to warn other drivers.narrowest part of the road I can see a serious accident occurring this needs urgent attention

  • This pot-hole caused irreparable damage to my near side front wheel on 31 December when driving to Oundle before 8am. Wheel has been condemned as beyond repair by a tyre-smith.
