Two lanes in to one, with no warning

Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 10:34, Wed 11 December 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1883456.

As you leave the A43 to join east bound on the A47 there are two lanes, which in approx. 500yrs merge to one lane at the brow of the hill with NO NOTICE either by signage or painted arrows on the road, which is causing vehicles to over shoot the merge and head for on coming vehicles, seen a few near misses in the last few weeks

  • Thank you for your report, and apologies for the delay in replying. Unfortunately the recent weather has delayed renewal of some road markings following resurfacing work. Another visit is programmed for later this month to complete the markings to include the two arrows, weather permitting.
