A series of large potholes litter the Lane. A lot of mud and flooding on the last right hand corner by the bridge.
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Ben Abbott at 14:50, Thu 12 December 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1885554.
The potholes and flooding has become steadily worse. There is a lot of heavy farm machinery using the lane that are causing issues. The drainage of the road is unacceptable and we have to leave the road and drive on the verge to avoid the flooded areas. The potholes on the Brampton Valley Way leading up to Merry Tom Farm are getting larger and larger by the day. The rain fall has nowhere to go as it comes down the hill therefore washing away what previous repairs you have carried out. I feel a more permanent solution than pothole filling is high time.

Merry Tom Lane is in an appalling state. You need a 4 wheel drive to use it. The pot holes are now craters. The flooding sometimes makes it impassable. Many people use this lane for access to the cycle path to walk dogs and other activities.
