Footpath a mangled mess of tarmac B573 Millers Park Wellingborough
Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 07:32, Fri 20 December 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1897612.
You will no doubt be aware of the current building work being undertaken at the site of the old, and soon to be new, HMP Wellingborough at Millers Park. I would like to draw your attention to some serious damage that has been caused to the footpath which is now a completely mangled mess of broken tarmac and is rutted to a depth of about 12 inches for about a six foot stretch and means that my elderly mother who uses a four-wheeled walking aid, is now no longer able to use this part of the footpath, along with anybody using a pram or pushchair and wheelchair users, have got no chance!!.
I trust that somebody will be repairing the path BEFORE the shut down for, what I suspect will be, at least a two break over Christmas, so that people do not have to walk onto the unlit road, on a bend, in order to negotiate this obstruction.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

I have this morning reported this to the Kier group building company as i nearly fell at this location in the dark whilst walking my dog this morning at 7.10am Completely unacceptable state of affairs with utterly no safety warnings or barriers. If its not repaired today i will be taking further action against all response parties. The utter lack of care and safety consideration by this this company is laughable and bordering illegal.
