Split my passenger front tyre at around 7.30PM 15/01/01 after driving over a large pot. Unfortunately I couldn't avoid the hole as it was dark and I didn't see it, at the time. This pot hole is very deep an dangerous I was only driving 40MPH at the point of impact. The tyre has a large split and is beyond repair. The car is book into the garage Saturday for a replacement and inspection.

Unable to avoid this pothole due to ambulance travelling in opposite direction. Tyre blew out instantly. Had to abandon car - thanks to Ned Davis garage at Rothwell for recovering the car and repairing. This really should have been repaired already looking at the first report date.

Split my passenger front tyre at around 4:40pm 16/01/01 after driving over this large pot hole. Unfortunately as it was dark and I didn't see it, i couldn't avoid it. I was only driving 40mph at the point of impact and it created such a noise! This is a very dangerous and deep pothole. The tyre had a large split and was beyond repair. Had to get a tyre replacement the next day as i use my car for work. I'm even more annoyed as this pothole was reported way back in December and then seeing a few other people hitting this pothole and damaging their car is beyond a joke! I have put a claim against the council for this and was told that i needed to make a post on this site first to report it. I have noticed that since i've had the incident the pothole hasn't been fixed even though more people have hit and damaged their cars too. I Hope this gets fixed soon! There are plenty more along this route as well!

Hi has anyone put a claim in, I am just waiting for quotes for a buckled alloy then working out how to make a claim. So poor how slow this has been dealt with from what I know lots of cars affected Should start a Facebook group to work together for claims

I have put a claim in and have received a response from LGPSS stating that they are contacting Highways to confirm validity of claim. As my damage occurred 10 days after the pothole was due to be repaired I expect to be compensated and if not will take through Court and add costs. stephanieoram@talktalk.net
