Big potholes and poor road surface, crevices

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 11:00, Thursday 2 January 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1914165.

Coming along Westfield Road from town direction with the turning to Brickhill Road before you to the right, there is a big pot hole and large crevices on the road. This will cause damage to cars and injury or death to a cyclist. The road condition here is to a different standard. Please can it be all resurfaced to avoid redeveloping. Also can the road be swept at the side. Thank you. Happy New Year!

  • I have hit this particular pothole twice in the last few days, it is very difficult to avoid of there are vehicles travelling towards you and it is dark. The resulting jolt to my suspension literally makes us gasp - this pothole must be more than the depth required for urgent repair! Please fix ASAP!

  • This is one of the worst pot holes in town and a definite danger to road users of all types. Needs urgent action. The whole of Westfield Road from Debdale Road is falling apart and needs major remedial work. Would have been a better investment than the Brickhill Road resurfacing even tough Brickhill Road was in a very poor condition.

  • I note there are now some markings and temporary filling placed in the pot hole but it is still uneven and the surface a few metres towards Broad Green direction has a pot hole. Will the works scheduled to 'be completed within the next 6 months' be a full and complete resurfacing of Westfield Road in its entirety? There are more damage and injury inducing potholes and terrible surfaces on this road all the way along it towards Northampton Road. Thanks.
