A very large pothole has appeared leaving a drain very exposed. Very likely to cause great car damage.
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:35, Saturday 4 January 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 6 minutes later. ref: 1918110.
A large and deep pothole has appeared very quickly. The fact it has exposed the drain makes it far more dangerous. Any car going down this hole is likely to suffer bad damage due to the exposed drain. As it is after a corner in the road, a driver is less likely to see it until it’s too late. We have put a cone on this hole to warn drivers. The hole is just down the road from Kelmarsh Church. The cone indicates the exact position.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

This very large, deep pothole has already caused damage to cars. At least two tyre blow outs are known about. Ours was on Friday evening, 3rd December. We are awaiting an inspection as to whether the alloy wheel has also been damaged. It needs URGENT fixing as this side road is often used by traffic coming off the A14 when that is closed due to accidents. It is also going to be VERY dangerous to cycles and bikes.
