Large stretch of road bad condition from quarry

Caller advises a43 stretch of road from the quarry between corby and duddington damage to the road and mud also issue if there is a dain fall of rain

  • This stretch of road near the quarry is really dangerous. There is consistently mud on the road, making it very slippy in the rain, and the road markings are unclear. The are also frequently bits of debris on the road.

  • Very poor road conditions - mud and rocks all over the place! It's an accident waiting to happen!

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Northamptonshire Highways are working with the contractors at the nearby quarry to ensure this road is regularly swept, HGV's leaving the site are subject to a wheel wash/cleanse and the site is regularly monitored to ensure it is in a safe condition for all road users. We will continue to monitor this site via our routine highway safety inspections.
