Hi,
Once againg you've closed this report before fixing the actual job.
I have been waiting for Ian Smith to reply to me with an appointment time after 4pm to visit and discuss. As he is aware, BT do not own the box, and a representative from OpenWorld has assessed the structure and states that the footpath needs repairing and it is likely that Virgin Media have control over maintanence.
As discussed (with no reply) with Ian, I have not been able to get hold of the correct Virgin department and expected Kier to have contact details.
The quickly added tarmac from the last repair is now beginning to fail at the edges.
I have noted that a team has been in the area and they have sprayed *some of the potholes in the road. They missed lots of others.
I am still waiting for a response from Mr Smith. I did cc local councillors into my messages.

Hello,
Just a quick note to let you know that the quick remedial work completed last summer is failing as vegetation is already pushing through. Please see images.
As noted intially, to spend half an hour removing a very small amount of the top surface and then placing a soft tarmac over the cracks was not suitable.
The far edge of the new tarmac is also crumbling.
This growing plant will be a trip hazard and therefore as noted by Ian previously, of public concern.
Many Thanks,

The defects you mention currently would not bwarrant intervention under safety criteria. I have uploaded a copy of previous correspondence which can be found in the attachments. We will monitor the condition of the footway in the usual way under our routine safety inspections.
