The road is completely dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. The area in question is from and including the bridge over the River Tove right along to the junction with Cosgrove Road. So from the long bridge up the hill to The Navigation, past the farm and The Navigation and along until you get to Cosgrove Road.
The bridge (over the River Tove itself has disintegrating road edges so it's not great to drive hard to the left or right (in order to give way to oncoming traffic) because there are lots of missing bits of tarmac and big puddles so you don't really know what you're driving on, and after the bridge, up the hill, past The Navigation until Cosgrove Road there are deep (and shallow) potholes. You have to either drive ridiculously slowly or in a zig zag, and a zig zag isn't possible in either direction approaching The Navigation as the hill obscures seeing if anyone is coming towards you, and zig zag isn't possible if you can see someone is coming towards you. If vehicles drive around the pot holes on both sides approaching The Navigation at the same time there will be a head on car crash. It's my opinion that the road should be completely closed and properly resurfaced. You keep repairing the potholes and the road gets damaged again quickly. A complete resurface would result with a great bit of road with no potholes. This filling up of the potholes patchwork repair doesn't last. Tyres on most modern cars now are really expensive. Our tyres are £150 each tyre. That's not to mention other damage that may occur.

Utterly dangerous area of the road by the navigation inn, the potholes require you to drive on the opposite side of the road on a blind hill. Considering there is new build after new build being built in hanslope and this is one of the main routes there. I'm not usually a moaner at all but the stretch of road was lethal enough for me to want to report it.

Had yet another near miss yesterday and have seen 2 other near misses through people trying to avoid the many potholes and people being forced into the middle of the road due to the edges of the road crumbling. I see you say this is scheduled for work in the next 6 months? Firstly, within the next 6 months is unacceptable. It's needs doing now. Secondly, I see some paint has been put around a few potholes between the navigation and Yardley Road. Was the assessor blind? Whoever it was didn't go beyond the Navigation to The bridge over the River Tove. The paint is only on a very few potholes, there's no paint by the side of the road where the edges are crumbling away and there's no paint between the River Tove bridge and the Navigation. You need to get someone senior out, and they need to evaluate from Yardley Road, all along the road where you turn left to Castlethorpe, and the person needs to assess the entire stretch of road from Yardley Road junction to the border with Milton Keynes on the bridge over the River Tove. Ideally, you would be working in conjunction with Milton Keynes to get the bridge over the River Tove resurfaced as well. There will be blood and car parts on your hands if you fail to act. Where the Navigation is it's a blind hill as there is a bridge over the Canal and there are deep potholes both sides of the hill and road, and people drive in the road to avoid them.

The whole Road is full of potholes, it’s extremely dangerous trying to avoid them when oncoming traffic does not slow down.

The entire stretch of road has numerous potholes, as well as crumbling road edges. With the absence of any lighting and restricted view points it is particularly dangerous and unsettling to use at night as well as during the day

Nearly took my wheel off today on this stretch of road by The Navigation, several of the potholes are now several inches deep and wide and will cause a serious accident soon!

This is a regular commuter road and the state of this road is treacherous. A couple of potholes on top the hill that I alerted you to previously have been circle painted but the vast majority have been ignored. No works have been carried out. This road and its commuters cannot wait 6 months as this road is an accident trap. The roads over all the little bridges have potholes, the sides of the roads have eroded away next to very high grass verges. The large hill up to the inn have deep potholes and drivers are swerving to avoid on the blind summit of this hill in both directions. Even travelling at low speeds this stretch of road is not navigable or safe. Urgent assessment/work is needed please.

The road between Castlethorpe and the Yardley Road junction has got worse in the last month. The edge of the road on given way over one of the tributaries of the River Trove. There is at least one very deep pothole in the middle of the road on the bridge which is almost impossible to miss when cars are passing due to the narrowness of the road. As many have already said there are some many road imperfections that it is impossible to list each one. I was under the impression it was a requirement for the council to inspect the roads at periodic times each year based on the roads usage and hierarchy classification.
