Painted white line across my drive 9a Alexandra Street
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 17:49, Tue 14 January 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 1 minute later. ref: 1937634.
The white line across my drive has faded and almost disappeared. I applied for a new line but was informed by Erik Drake to contact you as I already have a white line that just needs to be repainted. The faded line has resulted in my car being blocked in the drive on a number of occasions. My address is 9a Alexandra Street. NN15 5SE. Thank you. Paul Rigby.

This problem continues to get worse. The line has all but disappeared. As you can see this car is over the line as just the end remains. Because this car has encroached I can’t turn right out of my drive as we also have cars on the other side of the street. If the other car pulls in closer on the left we would still be stuck because of cars across the road. Do you have a date when this is likely to be fixed? 1937364 9a Alexandra Street NN15 5SE Paul Rigby.

I first reported that the white line outside my property reference No. 1937634 on the 14th January 2020. At that time I was told that the white line would be painted within 12 months. I updated the report on 10 August 2020 as I was having problems turning out of my drive due to how close cars where parking to the entrance. It is somewhat concerning that as we approach 9 months since this matter was brought to your attention I today receive an email that again stated the line will be repainted within the next 12 months potential timeline of 21 months from the original request. I do not see this as an acceptable situation as in fact there is only around 3 months remaining until your original commitment runs out. I would now request that you review this situation and complete the work as quickly as possible. Thank you Paul Rigby 9a Alexandra Street NN15 5SE

This matter report No. 1937364 was first reported on 14January 2020 following a car blocking my drive for 2 days and stating that they did not see the white line. The line has all but disappeared. It is stated by the Council that a performance indicator is to complete work with 12 months. I appreciate that there is still a couple of months to go but I have not heard anything from the council for 10 months despite a number of problems caused by not having a white line. This includes using the area directly in front of my gates as a parking bay. I think it would not be unreasonable to be provided with a date indicating when this work would be completed and that date is prior to the 14 January 2021. Thank you.
