Construction vehicle parked on footpath
Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 16:02, Wed 22 January 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1955097.
Construction vehicle blocking footpath during school collection time. Blocking a large part of the footpath, no where close by is there a pedestrian crossing to cross safety to avoid, so only option to pass very close to the road or walk through very thick wet mud!! Would be even more difficult to pass if someone had a buggy, pram, wheelchair. Lots of mud on footpath also, many many children and their families use to pathway to walk to school and back. Extremely unsafe. I first noticed this vehicle at 2.45pm, it was still there at 3.20pm today 22nd February. The construction workers should not be parking and leaving vehicles like this.

Vehicles parking on the footway in such a manner as to cause a hazard or obstruction, provided that the footway is open to pedestrian traffic (i.e.: not fenced off or otherwise closed), is a matter for the local Police to deal with as they have jurisdiction to act. This does not fall within the remit of Northamptonshire Highways.
