Reflective safety posts missing top & bottom of this stretch of ditch.
Reported in the Safety Bollard - Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 17:38, Sun 26 January 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1961859.
This stretch of narrow road by a ditch has no reflective safety bollards at the top end or the bottom stretch warning of the soft verge dropping into a deep ditch if you drop your tyres off the tarmac to allow a vehicle to pass the other way. A vehicle dropped into the ditch a few years ago at the top end, requiring road closure and hauling out. This road is used as a diversion if the local part of the A605 is closed due to accident, etc, and all sizes of vehicle unfamiliar to the road are sent through here. The row of warning posts needs to be completed for obvious road safety reasons. Vehicles up to the size of heavy grain lorries and school buses use this road, and when they do it is single lane only.

We are aware this is an inevitable diversion route during hold-ups on A605; it was heavily used during work on A605 last year, and no adverse incidents were reported to us. The request for more verge markers is noted and the situation will be monitored, but at present this does not meet our criteria for prioritisation.
State changed to: No further action
