Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1967597.
The grass is severely chewed up at the bottom of Leonardo court, corby,on either side, and also at the top of Leonardo court, where vehicles are supposed to turn,we live in a narrow street where vehicles can only park on one side of the road,we now have multiple HMO,s in the area causing severe parking problems for months now,the whole street now looks terrible where the cars have chewed up all the verges and grassed areas, there is mud all over the road and pavements,in short the whole area looks like a slum with the mess. At the top of the street cars are parked where we are supposed to turn due to it being a narrow street, because of this we have had numerous accidents with people who cant reverse cars, and have hit walls,i myself have had the house hit with cars using my driveway
The report's reference number is 1899871. Please quote this if you need to contact the council about this report. after numerous emails to the local council, they say that this is the resposability of the county council as on the land registry they own the land, and the local council are only resonsable for cutting and maintaining the grass.

I live in Leonardo court corby along with another 9 houses. We have 6 houses at the top of the street where 3 of them are HMO houses. So there are another 20 people plus 20 cars. We have cars parked with no tax and no insurance. We have 16 houses in and around Leonardo court corby and around 40 cars. Now there is another HMO house being done with another 5 rooms and yet there will be more cars. We are in a very bad way with parking and you cant get moving in the street. We have had Issues with the council not emptying our bins because they cant get up the street. My father in law is very I'll and because people are parking at the drive and on the pathway we cant get the ambulance outside the house. Like tonight the doctor had to park along the road. This isnt good. Please can you look into this because if anything happens to my father in law and no one can get access to him it's not going to be good.

Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately Northamptonshire County Council no longer consider installing ‘No Parking’ type signs or such measures at wooden posts, bollards or barriers to prevent parking on grass verges to be a priority. We do understand that some verges may look aesthetically messy and unsightly, especially after the typical wet winter weather. Therefore if they are significantly damaged this can be reported on the Northamptonshire County Council’s online ‘Street Doctor’ system for consideration under our annual maintenance programme for re-seeding (or re-turf if particularly muddy/damaged) and within the constraints of the Northamptonshire Highways financial budget. Northamptonshire Highways also do not have the powers to take any direct action against vehicles parking on the public highway. However, if you feel that road safety may be compromised by the parking of vehicles in this neighbourhood, we normally would suggest that initially you may wish to inform the owners of the offending vehicles, if known, and explain the concern that their parking is causing. If this suggestion is not practicable or proves ineffective and this parking issue continues at this location, then the best way forward would then be for you to contact Northamptonshire Police. Parking a vehicle inappropriately where it is deemed not possible for drivers to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to public or private property is impeded, is against the law and should be reported to Northamptonshire Police’s Safer Community Team on 101 or via the Northamptonshire Police website.
