Signs at junction of A509 and Finedon Station Road declaring "no access for lorries to I V G White use A6" . This company taken over some time ago. Now trades as Keelings. Lorry drivers (especially continental ones) using Finedon Station Road as short cut for deliveries of fruit and veg on a daily basis because sign means nothing to them. Road not big enough or suitable for these large vehicles, signs need changing urgently or measures put in place to prevent them access from Finedon Industrial Estate turn to Keelings goods in entrance.

Thank you for your query to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to the revision required to the signing on the A509 that currently indicate deliveries for IVG White should use the A6. We have instructed our design team to arrange to cover plate the existing “IVG White” legend on the sign face with “Keelings” to avoid confusion. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
