Due to the recent extreme weather, Victoria Road has become somewhat of an obstacle course, with existing potholes getting worse. Due to how cars are parked on the street, you sometimes have no choice but to go over the potholes. They keep being repaired and keep failing. Please resurface the whole road.

Victoria Road is by far one of the worst roads in Rushden . With a large retirement home at the top needing 24 hour access by ambulances to a School with this being it’s main entrance . The Road has been patched again and again and Dosnt last more than a week at best . This road needs totally repairing instead of a cheap fix as my repairs to my vehicle are not cheap up to now 2 coils and a very expensive tyre . Sort it out

There are cracks in the tarmac all the way up Victoria Rd and along with the very large and deep potholes, there are numerous small ones which will only get bigger and worse. The whole road needs skimming and a new top surface laid so that the iron work is level with the tarmac. Surely it has to be cheaper in the long run?

To the relevant Department can one please clarify what actual work had been scheduled within 6 months . This road will not last another 6 months and it’s repair needs doing ASAP, it is only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs . Can you confirm that the repair will not be the usual quick pot hole fix late at night ? This road and the traffic congestion needs sorting ASAP , a complete new road laid, new road markings including double yellows down one side , new bollards fitted to stop School traffic parking on all grass verges and blocking the entrances to the Care home and parking on the 2 private estates .

Victoria Road needs resurfacing very soon for two reasons, both are the risks to vulnerable people, those that are slightly unsteady on there feet or very young children. Issue is that cars are parked on one side of Victoria Road which means vehicles have only one side to use and try to navigate those potholes. I am seeing motorists having to mount the pavement to avoid severe damage to their cars, this of course puts pedestrians health at risk. The other risk is the size and number of the pot holes, pedestrians have to cross the road to get to Denfield school, the potholes have a risk of seeing people trip or fall in the road. One pothole is getting so big it is ridiculous. Given that the road has had significant additional road users due to the very poor service from the council to actually address the issue of the damage to the Denfield School car park, a car park which the council insisted had to be created to have the school in that location. A full eight months after the car park was reported and the car park is still not fixed and Victoria Road frankly looks like a war zone. Pedestrians, residents and users of businesses, schools and care homes, it is safe to say are being let down.

The condition of Victoria Rd is a disgrace and has been for years. Please stop throwing some asphalt into the holes which lasts a few weeks and re-surface the rd properly!

Well regarding the state of repairs of Victoria Road our glorious Council have acted and as per usual came up and patched the road with what I can only explain is with workmanship of a 3 year old . I notice that the council never replied to any of these posts and so I urge everybody to flood the council via this site with every little defect this road has . We all know these joke of repairs will last about a week before it starts all over again. Shame on you Council your a disgrace

Another outstanding 'repair' on Victoria rd! This time the maintenance team couldn't even be bothered to sweep up the debris that had come out of the holes! I would urge all residents of Victoria rd to cease paying Council tax until the council take the state of this rd seriously.
