Road surface / deep pot holes
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Samuel Shoesmith at 13:10, Fri 31 January 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1971501.
I have reported this issue at least 3 times using Street Doctor over the last 4 years and a friend has reported it at least twice. It has been stated that works will be carried out but it never happens.
Road surface in its entirety along where Northampton Road becomes Oxford Street, between One Stop and Welly Bistro, as illustrated by the marker, needs replacing. The attached photos show how massive the pot holes are. I have placed a 50p in if you can see it. It is lost in the hole. There are crevice potholes too.

Some more photographic evidence.
Back when I firstly reported these pot holes in 2016, in order to avoid these pot holes, I manoeuvred my bicycle to the far left hand side of the road. This ultimately led to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, as well as poor driving by the other party, and the resulting incident left with me with injuries and having to go to A&E.
Action does need to be taken now to avoid further injury or damage.

Thank you for your enquiry. A works order has been raised this will be undertaken within the next 6 months. On most occasions, we are completing defects sooner. ). Can you please contact us again if the defect gets any worse so our officers can re-inspect, preferably attaching a photograph (where it is safe for you to take one).

This was taken a couple of weeks ago. The defects surpass though required for intervention. It looks to have got worse. Do they yellow lines mean fixing is imminent?
