Blocked / covered drains in various village locations

Storm drains blocked by leaves/twigs on London Road, down from junction with the Pyghtles to near the Playing Fields and also at other end of the road from just off the A509 up to the bottom of Rotten Row. Two drains on the hill part of Duck End and one on the A509 roundabout near the turning up to Cobbs Lane are all blocked and silted up to the top. One drain near 26 Thrift Street is blocked and fills up to top with water whenever it rains.

Have you any further news on the blocked drains as I have noticed that nothing has been done to any of them.

Thank you for your enquiry. We have a cyclic gully emptying programme London Road and Duck End are programmed for April 2020 and Thrift Street is programmed for Oct 2020. Our A road programme is still being finalised.
