Can not see un-controlled joining traffic

Temp traffic lights in place on Lancaster Way have un-controlled traffic joining from the construction site and the service road from Towcester road, plus street cleaning truck from the construction site going up and down Lancaster way at slow speed resulting in cars on both sides of it because the traffic lights have cycled during its progress. Disaster waiting to happen. there needs to be control on all points.

  • Thank you for contacting the county council regarding the traffic management on Lancaster Way Northampton. The site has been inspected and the lights are working as expected for a development on a residential road. Four way traffic signals are most commonly used for main road junctions not for site traffic as the speeds are slower on site. However this being said your comments are noted and will be reviewed during the ongoing inspection of the works.
