Water/mud creating large flooded puddle blocking the footpath for pedestrians
Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 12:14, Monday 3 February 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 1 minute later. ref: 1976079.
Lowest point on the footpath from Manor Road to playing field. When it rains it all runs down to here were there is an underground piped course (run off from the hills) to the river behind West Street. Since some trees removed from a garden, nowhere for this water to go but it brings down mud from the verges so thick sluge and water blocking footpath

Photo taken 10/2/20, following rain over weekend. Has been higher with water sitting more than a couple of inches deep making footpath inaccessible.

Picture taken this morning (13th Feb) following rain overnight. Completely blocked unless you have good wellies!

Still open, via questionnaire
16th March. Water cleared but no significant rainfall for a couple of weeks. A resident cleared it by pushing all the mud to the sides which are now quite packed in soil. This footpath is now passable but likely to fill again during any significant rain as there doesn't seem to be any drains in the area.

Footpath still passable but no rain for a few weeks now. Doubt there has been any drainage work taken place so will need to leave until next downpour and see whether it clears.

Thanks for reporting this and keeping us updated, the site has been visited when it was very wet but appears there is no drainage system and has never been one. We will still continue to, monitor this at the present time.
