Large deep pothole with surface rubble
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 15:05, Fri 7 February 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 6 minutes later. ref: 1984803.
Despite previous repairs another very large deep pot hole has opened up on a blind bend. This country road is being used as rat run for HGV’s during the evenings and throughout the night hence the continued road surface damage - needs urgent attention as traffic is swerving to avoid and potential accident waiting to happen. Thank you.

I nearly had an accident swerving to avoid this pothole yesterday. Incredibly dangerous and an already incident-prone road.

I had the unfortunate experience of hitting a rather large pothole this morning whilst driving from Daventry to West Haddon. The potholes in general along this road are horrendous! The one by the Nene Warehouse as you cross the A5 is so bad it actually covers both sides of the road although I have noticed this one has been identified with yellow paint. The one I hit this morning clearly hasn’t been identified and needs fixing ASAP! My tyre went down immediately from impact. (I must add that I drive very slowly along this road due to all the potholes). I couldn’t get any further across to avoid this one due to oncoming traffic. I have had to have a brand new tyre at a cost of £61.23. The under cover of my car has also been damaged and I now have to get this to Kia to look at on the 10th March. Really not happy and am looking for reimbursement of the tyre at least please. Attached are pictures of the pothole. My location and the invoice / bill for the new tyre. These were all taken later this afternoon after getting the tyre replaced back in Daventry.
