Several potholes in a line 1 - 2 in deep
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by James Arkell at 20:32, Fri 7 February 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1985260.
These potholes are in the path of vehicles proceeding westwards along Cranford Road. To avoid them, vehicles either need to keep well left or stray into the path on oncoming vehicles = not safe. The stretch of road from Junction 11 to the 30mph speed limit outside Cranford is littered with potholes of varying degrees, non yet terribly dangerous, but only a matter of time before tyres are damaged or worse. Please can the quality of repairs be improved? Residents are forever having to report problems along this stretch.

There are several large potholes in this stretch. I managed to avoid the first few by moving across into the other lane, but traffic coming the other wY meant I was unable to avoid one of the larger ones. Although I had slowed to 30mph, the impact caused an immediate tyre pressure alert on my dashboard and within 30 seconds and once safe to do so, I pulled over. The tyre was completely flat and I had to be recovered by the RAC due to my car not being fitted with a spare. The garage assessed that the wheel was fine, but the tyre needed replacing and wheels alignments had been severely affected. This was rectified at a cost of £128. Can you please advise on the claims process and an estimate on when they will be repaired. I dread to think what would happen if a motorcyclist hit one of these in the dark!
